In a bid to follow its commitment with ecology and nature, India is all set to launch the Solar Train which is under pipeline for its trial. The step is the exercise to go green and increase the use of solar energy,. The energy for running the train will be from solar panels.
According to media reports, the special coaches which are being built at the Jodhpur coach plant could be put on a trial run as early as the end of this month.
It has been said that the train will be run as a passenger train, the route to be decided after the trial run. Certainly the move will put Indian train Green and eco-friendly and it will be a initiative by the Railways to make use of alternative source of energy.
The prototype of the solar power-enabled coach where the entire train will be fitted with solar panels is going to be used for the trial.
The Railway is all set to launch the trial at the end of the month and it is optimistic for its success. With the success of the trial run, Railway is hoping of 239 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
The move will also save approximately 90,800 litres of diesel per rake annually which is enough to put its commitment towards the ecology and nature of surrounding.
