Bhubaneswar, Dec 28 (IANS) At least six persons were killed and four critically injured when a truck collided with an auto-rickshaw in Odisha's Kalahandi district on Wednesday.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem while the injured persons have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, said Akshaya Kumar Das, Kalahandi Additional Superintendent of Police.
The incident occurred at Phulrijharan in Bhawanipatna, police said.
As many as ten persons were travelling in the three-wheeler at the time of the accident, police added.
Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in a tweet, expressed condolences to the family members of the deceased and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
