Modi UAE visit: UAE govt allotted land for Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi

UAE govt allotted the land for Hindu temple in Abu Dhani and this move is a major breakthrough for the Hindu community there. This is a good sign of relationship between the two countries and major achievement for PM Mod.

"A long wait for the Indian community ends. On the occasion of PM’s visit, UAE Govt decides to allot land for building a temple in Abu Dhabi," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Vikas Swarup tweeted.

PM Modi tweeted "I am very thankful to the UAE Govt for their decision to allot land in order to build a Temple in Abu Dhabi. This is a great step."

PM Modi is on the two day visit to these countries. Yesterday he visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which is the third largest mosque in the world.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque an accommodate around 40,000 people and it was constructed from 1996 to 2007. This mosque is named after the founder and first President of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Various groups are welcoming this move of allotting the land for Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.

PM Modi further twitted "I warmly recall & deeply appreciate the pioneering role of Sheikh Zayed & Sheikh Khalifa in creating strong India-UAE ties. "

On day 2 of his visit, PM Modi will Address 50,000 in Dubai After Business Talks in Abu Dhabi, today.
