East Delhi Mayor Ms. Meenakshi today inspected Ward No. 255 falling under Ghonda. Area councillor Ms. Rajkumari, Deputy Commissioner Shahdara (North) Ms. Alka Sharma, Chief Engineer Mr. Devender Singh and other senior officials were also present with her.
She ordered for the improvement of cleanliness at Mauzpur during the inspection and directed the officials concerned of the Corporation to write a letter to PWD for regular collection of drain silt so that the local residents do not face any hassle during the ongoing rainy season.
Mayor Ms. Meenakshi also instructed to remove encroachment from street No. 1 at Brahmapuri area so that the traffic movement is eased. She directed to open the bellmouths of small drainholes for proper outfall of rain water.
To increase the greenery in East Delhi, the Mayor planted a sapling in a primary school of Corporation at Ghonda as a gesture. Mayor also inspected sanitation and cleanliness of municipal school at Arvind Nagar.
