Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), under the leadership of its president Arvinder Singh, MLA organized a Roza Iftar Party at the DPCC premises, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. A large number of Muslim brothers and sisters from Old Delhi, trans-Yamuna area and other parts of Delhi broke their Roza fast on the occasion.
Besides DPCC president Arvinder Singh, prominent others who participated in the Roza Iftar Party were Congress President Political Advisor Ahmed Patel, AICC general secretary Dr Shakeel Ahmed, AICC general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi, AICC treasurer Motilal Vohra, AICC general secretary Ajay Maken, CLP leader Haroon Yusuf, DPCC spokesperson Mukesh Sharma, MLAs Hassan Ahmed and Devinder Yadav, former Union Minister Smt. Krishna Tirath, Shri Jagdish Tytler, Ramesh Kumar, Shri Mahabal Mishra, former Delhi Ministers Dr A.K.Walia, Mangat Ram Singhal, Ramakanth Goswami, Kiran Walia, chairman of the Haj Committee Dr Parvesh Mian, ex-MLA Shri Subhash Chopra, Surendra Kumar, Bhisham Sharma, Opposition leader in the East Delhi MCD Varyam Kaur and Vipin Sharma. People from all faiths welcomed the Muslim brothers who came for the Roza Iftar Party.
DPCC president Arvinder Singh welcomed all the Muslim brothers and sisters who came to break their Roza fast. He said during the holy month of Ramzan, the Muslim brothers worship Allah, who created the universe. After 30 days of Roza fast, the holy Id festival comes, which is jointly celebrated by the Muslim, Hindu and other communities in a spirit of brotherhood and friendship.
