East Delhi Mayor, Smt. Meenakshi inspected the Swami Dayanand Hospital situated at Dilshad Garden in Shahadra (North) area. She was accompanied by Area Councillor, Smt. Swati Gupta; Commissioner, Mr. S. Kumaraswami; Chief Engineer, Mr. Devender Singh, Medical Superintendent, Dr. B. Nayak.
Mayor, Smt. Meenakshi inspected the personalised block at Swami Dayananad Hospital and directed the officials to creat a view cutter to the women toilet block with steel frame and directed the officials to develop new child care ward at ground floor. She also directed the officials to install electricity backup system to overcome with electricity shortage problem. Mayor also inspected medical facilities of the infants and general ward.
Mayor also directed the officials to maintain proper cleanliness at park in Swami Dayananad Hospital complex. Mayor also inspected the central kitchen of Swami Dayananad Hospital and directed the kitchen staff to wear proper apparens while cooking and serving the food and also directed the officials to repair the false ceiling. Mayor also directed the officials to install CCTV camera at waiting room to have proper security of the hospital.
While inspecting maternity ward she was annoyed over the management of the ward and directed the officials to have specific visiting hours at child and maternity care ward for proper medical aid to patients. Mayor also inspected the staff quarters at Swami Dayananad Hospital and directed the officials to demolish the flats in dangerous condition and directed the horticulture department to remove debris from park, there she also inspected the nursing home and panchkarma centre and directed the officials to install an information board having details of fees and charges for serving/ treatment.
