Border Security Force has seized huge consignment of FICN worth Rs. 13,99,500/- near International Boundary of Indo-Bangladesh border, in Malda, West Bengal .
Acting on a specific information, troops BSF Battalion deployed in Border Outpost Daulatpur, deployed in Distt Malda (West Bengal) observed 02/03 persons coming towards India from Bangladesh. On being challenged by the troops of BSF, they fled away towards Bangladesh side leaving some packets underneath of culvert/ Hume pipe.
BSF party Immediately rushed near the spot and searched thoroughly and seized FICN worth Rs 13,99,500/- (Denomination – 1000 x 1100 & 500 x 599) from the area which was wrapped in polythene sheets and kept underneath of culvert/ Hume Pipe.
This FICN was placed by Bangladeshi FICN Smugglers for circulation in India. It was major seizure by BSF troops in the drive against FICN smugglers. Seized FICN handed over to Police station Baishnabnagar of Dist Malda, West Bengal.
