Kolkata, June 4 (IANS) The resplendent Victoria Memorial will be bathed in green light Thursday to spread the message of a cleaner environment on the occasion of World Environment Day.
From 6.15 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. Thursday, the white marble monument and icon of the eastern metropolis, will be green-lit for the fifth year in a row.
This is part of a corporate social responsibility initiative of Tata Steel.
The historic edifice will host quiz competitions and slogan writing contests on the theme of 2014 World Environment Day - "Raise Your Voice Not the Sea Level".
