President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday will inaugurate a renovated shopping complex in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The new shopping complex would fulfill the long awaited desire of employees of the Rashtrapati Bhavan and their families living on the premises to enjoy a full-fledged complex that caters to their requirements. The President has desired that this genuine need be fulfilled.
There were eight shops in the President's Estate Market, which have been in existence since the pre-Independence era among f which six shops were available for fresh allotment. The newly renovated complex will add six new shops, including a Safal Outlet, a Kendriya Bhandar and a Shakti Haat.
The Shakti Haat outlet will specifically represents the Self Help Groups (SHGs) of Rashtrapati Bhavan, who will market their own products like homemade masalas, organic compost and handmade envelopes.
The members of SHGs include the wives of employees of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
