As it was expected for some hard decision, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expelled senior lawyer and MP Ram Jethmalani from the primary membership of party for six years over "breach of discipline". The party’s parliamentary board had taken a decision in these regards.
According to sources, in a letter to Jethmalani, BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar has said the party's parliamentary board had taken a unanimous decision on Monday to expel him from membership of the party.
The letter indicates at, "The central parliamentary board after considering all your replies, responses and letters was of the unanimous opinion that you have indulged in a breach of discipline. The parliamentary board, therefore, decided to expel you for a period of six years from the primary membership of the Party."
It is noted that Jethmalani has known for his clear view and several times he kept his views keeping party leadership in trouble. It was expected the party is to take some firm decision on him.
