A private carrying BJP President Rajnath Singh, BJP Senior Leader Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, BJP general secretary Dharmendra Pradhan and Joint General Secretary (Organization) V Satish made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport on Monday morning.
A Delhi airport official said, "The private jet which started around 10 a.m. today returned to Delhi due to a technical snag,"
Pilot of the jet informed Air traffic control (ATC) about the technical snag and then returned back to Delhi airport.
BJP president and senior party leaders and were aboard the plane and they were heading to Bellary in Karnataka to address a rally.
Vidhan Sabha elections are due to be held on Karnataka from May 5 to elect its 224-member Assembly. Counting of votes will be held on May 8.
