Azad Singh and Ms. Poornima Vidhyarthi of BJP today filed their nominations for the coveted post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of North Delhi. They are set to be elected unopposed because no other candidate is in fray for these post.
Mr. Ram Kishan Singhal and Mr. Mohan Bharadwaj of BJP and Mr. Mukesh Goel of Congress also filed their nominations for the posts of members of the Standing Committee to be nominated from the Corporation. There are three vacancies of members of Standing Committee from North Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
Since Mr. Mukesh Goel, Ms. Surinder Kaur and Mr. Vijay Prakash Pandey retired from the posts. They are all set to be elected unopposed because no other candidate is in fray for these post.
The elections to the posts of Mayor, Deputy Mayor and three vacancies of members of Standing Committee will be held in the meeting of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation to be held at Aruna Asaf Ali meeting hall, Dr. S.P.M Civic Centre, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg on Monday, the 8th April 2013. Today was the last day for filing nominations for the above posts.
