Government is committed for the caring of old age persons: C.M.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said that the city government has been providing the highest pension in the country to senior citizens. Further they are given special priority in hospitals. Government has made operationalize a number of Old Age Homes where recreation facilities are also available. She was speaking at the annual function of Senior Citizens Forum at A Block, Defence Colony in South Delhi.

Dikshit further stated that the city government has now decided to upgrade all Old Age Homes with an aim to ensure the best facilities to the elders who are, in fact, real resources for the society because of their vast experience. In Delhi everybody has been giving due respect to the elders.
