Government is misleading people on unauthorized colony issue:BJP

New Delhi, Sun, 10 Feb 2013 NI Wire

BJP had accused Delhi Government of carrying out substandard development work in haste in the unauthorized colonies of Delhi and also of corruption in this work. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Vijender Gupta has demanded the Lt. Governor of Delhi that she should order for CBI enquiry into the quality of development works being carried out in the unauthorized colonies and also corruption in deal works.

After the enquiry the guilty persons should be sternly punished so that the Government employees misappropriating the public money may not dare to do so in future.

Gupta told that in view of the forthcoming election to Delhi Legislative Assembly, the Congress Government has started many misleading and attractive announcements. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had announced about regularizing 895 unauthorized colonies of Delhi. But so far not a single colony has been regularized.

Registration of sale and purchase had not been started due to which people are not able to start construction of their houses. In order to secure the votes of the people by misleading them, the Government has sanctioned 700 crore rupees for the development works in these colonies.

Gupta told that the Government has awarded contracts to its favorite persons. They are misusing the money by carrying out works in haste. Media had also exposed about it, but the Government is mum. BJP will not tolerate such misappropriation of public money.

It does not expect of enquiry and justice from Delhi Government. Hence BJP wants that the Lt. Governor should intervene immediately and stop corruption of 700 crore rupees of public money.
