Wellington, Aug. 14 (ANI): Social media giant Facebook has revealed the number of fans it has in the US and UK, which account for 128 million and 24 million respectively, who visit the site each day.
In a bid to help its advertisers understand how people use its social network, the company has revealed its regional data for the first time, Stuff.co.nz reports.
The company's vice president of global marketing solutions, Carolyn Everson said that the site would like reveal the amount of people the advertisers can reach tomorrow or the amount of people they can reach when launching a movie.
As the site is set to introduce television like ad-space, the company's focus is now widely upon gathering more eyeballs thereby increasing the shares in the market as it was seen in July when it earned from the total ad revenue of 1.6 billion dollars.
Everson said that the question is about how the advertisers can reach the site's more than a billion users and target them so as advertisers want to limit the amount of 'waste' spent on trying to reach the right consumer.
Media and advertising analyst, Rebecca Lieb, said that one billion Facebook users is an impressive number but by breaking it down more regionally, the advertisers are getting a better idea to have targeted ads, the report added. (ANI)
