Kolkata,Art/Culture/Books, Tue, 11 Jun 2013 IANS

Kolkata, June 11 (IANS) Physicist Bikash Sinha said here Tuesday that the central government was indifferent to science and technology.

"Our country is completely insensitive to science and its implication to philosophy. It is more interested in dance and drama, which are popular," Sinha said while briefing reporters about the soon-to-be-opened Tagore Centre of Natural Sciences & Philosophy.

"It is easy to understand dance and enjoy it. It is easy to listen to music and enjoy it. But it is difficult to go deep into science and philosophy," Sinha said.
