Clear day ahead in Delhi

New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) It was a hot Saturday morning in the capital with maximum temperature likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of the year. The Met Office has forecast a clear day ahead.

"A clear day lies ahead for the capital. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 38 degrees Celsius," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature recorded was 19.8 degree Celsius, five notches below the average for the season. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 57 percent.

Friday's maximum temperature was 38.3 degrees Celsius, one notch below average, while the minimum temperature settled five notches below average at 20.3 degrees Celsius.
