Melbourne, May 1 (ANI): Researchers have created a shirt that can be worn for 100 days straight without needing a wash or ironing.

Mac Bishop, with help from his mates Katie Elks and Mike Major, created a wool-blended shirt which can be worn for 100 days, News.com.au reported.

The shirt was created out of wool because it is notoriously long lasting, scent-absorbing, tear resistant and crinkle-free.

But before trying to sell the idea to the masses, Bishop road-tested a prototype of the shirt.

He embarked on the "100 Day Challenge" and wore the same shirt for 100 days straight. No washing, ironing, dry cleaning.

And the result - "The shirt stood up to everything I threw at it - whether it was a five mile (8km) run or 72 straight hours of wear during Hurricane Sandy," he said.

Each day he attempted to wrinkle and odorise the shirt, but it was to no avail.

The Wool and Prince Better Button-Down shirt was born and launched on Kickstarter, with the goal of raising 30,000 dollars to start production.

In just one week, the project has garnered more than 100,000 dollars of pledged funds and there are still 22 days to go. (ANI)
