New Delhi, April 14 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday downplayed allegations that Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar had targetted senior party leader Narendra Modi in his speech on the second day of a national executive meeting of the Janata Dal-United held here, and instead, described his speech as "wonderful".
Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Vijay Sonkar said: " We can never deny the fact that Narendra Modi has provided a stupendous state development model, and, I am sure every state government would welcome that. Who doesn't want development?"
Commenting on the raging topic of who would be the NDA's prime ministerial candidate, Sonkar said: " Everybody wants the election formalities to be done with as soon as possible, and so is Nitish Kumar. Surely, the wise men in the BJP will take note of it and come to a conclusion."
Earlier in the day, Nitish Kumar explained that all he was looking for was the development of Bihar and for it to acquire special status. (ANI)
