New York, April 9 (ANI): Wesley Snipes, who was recently released from jail, is set to hit the silver screen.

According to Hollywood insiders, action legend Sylvester Stallone has offered 50-year-old Snipes a role in his new "Expendables" sequel, the New York Post reported.

A source told Confidenti@l that Sly wants to help Wesley get back on his feet.

The source added that Stallone sees Snipes as a super addition to 'The Expendables' in what will be their biggest adventure yet.

After being convicted of tax evasion in 2008, Snipes went to prison in December 2010. Last Tuesday, he was released from McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania, but he will be under house arrest until July 19.

"The script is being processed and Sly wants Wesley to jump on board," an insider told New York Post.

Filming is likely to start late this year, the source added.

The insider has also confirmed that in addition to landing Snipes, Stallone has his sights set on Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jackie Chan, Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford for "The Expendables Three." (ANI)
