Salim Kumar's Oriya film goes on the floors (Malayalam Movie Snippets)

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 28 (IANS) National award winning actor Salim Kumar's Oriya movie "Unga" goes on the floors, with a silent scene being shot on the first day.

Salim plays a double role in the film. One of the characters he plays is of a man who earns his living by selling bangles. He hopes the movie would get national level appreciation.

Actress Seema Biswas is his co-star in the movie.

Arjun replaces Mohan Lal in 'Kashmir'

Due to date issues, Mohanlal has withdrawn from director Joshiy's military-based movie "Kashmir" and Tamil actor Arjun has replaced him.

Actors Jayaram and Biju Menon are doing other lead roles, while Amala Paul will seen as the female lead.

The script has been written by Sethu.

The shooting will begin March 10 in Kochi. After three months, the second schedule of the fiim will be shot in Kashmir.

Actor Madhu to be honoured

Veteran actor Madhu will be honoured in Kochi Friday by the Malayalam Cine Technicians' Association (MACTA) to celebrate his fifty years in cinema.

Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar will inaugrate the function in Kochi.

M.T. Vasudevan Nair will be the chief guest, while film personalities like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Sheela, Lalitha, Seema, K.J.Yesudas, Mayor Tomy Chammmini and Hiby Eden MLA will also attend the function.
