Four killed in Yamuna Expressway car crash

Agra, Jan 21 (IANS) Four people, all belonging to the postal department, were killed at the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh Monday when the car they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck due to dense fog, police said.

The accident took place near the Tappal interchange in Aligarh district.

Four people were killed on the spot while a fifth was critically wounded and has been shifted to the Kailash Hospital in Noida.

The car was driving towards Greater Noida from Agra. The people were returning from Lucknow where they had gone to appear in a departmental examination. All were residents of Ghaziabad.

The dead have been identified as Arvind Kumar Sharma, 51, Sardar Harvinder Singh, 38, Puneet Sirohi, 51, and Hemant Singh Tomar, 45. The identity of the injured man has not been disclosed yet.
