New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Javed Akhtar, who is an esteemed screenwriter and lyricist, is celebrating his 68th birthday today.
Akhtar, who was born in Gwalior to Jan Nisar Akhtar and singer Safia Akhtar, has been successful in multiple fields of work, including script writing, lyrics, poetry and also judging singing talents.
He received the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2007 and has won the Filmfare Award 14 times.
The entire Bollywood fraternity is wishing the legend, with some celebrities taking to social-networking site Twitter to wish him.
Wife Shabana Azmi tweeted: "Happy birthday Javed Akhtar!"
Yashraj Films wrote: "Wishing the legendary lyricist @Javedakhtarjadu a very Happy Birthday! Thank you for creating magic with your words in our lives!"
