India’s ace open university, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started its fourth training programme in association with Deutsche Welle (DW) Akademie of Germany for teachers, media trainers and a host of other professionals.
DW is a German international broadcaster and DW Akademie provides services like media development, media training and journalism education.
"Train the Trainer" is focused on spread of training methodologies among academicians and industry personnel working in different sectors that include teachers, researchers, media trainers, project managers, human resource managers, corporate entities and professionals among other things, an IGNOU statement says..
As per IGNOU statement, equipped with the professional skills and competence, the trained personnel would then be able to communicate more efficiently and effectively when they go out to train others.
"We have had three successful collaborative precedents in the past with DW Akademie. Looking at the great demand for such trainings and its long felt need among academicians and industry personnel alike, we decided to come up with this fourth training programme,” says the statement issued by the IGNOU.
