Chairman of Standing Committee in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, Mr. Mehak Singh concluded the 'Malaria-Dengue Prevention Month' in a function organised in Kartar Nagar Ward. This 'Malaria-Dengue Prevention Month' was observed to create awareness among the masses about dengue, malaria and chikungunia.
The EDMC organised 64 awareness programme, one in each ward covering all 64 Wards of East Delhi Municipal Corporation.
Chairman, Standing Committee, Mr. Singh said that till date not even a single case of Dengue has been reported so far. It could only be possible because of awareness in the community and the system of working by EDMC in a planned manner and also due to overwhelming support by RWA officials.
Chairman of Shahdara (North) Zone Committee, Mr. Sanjay Jain and MHO, EDMC, Dr. K.K. Chaudhary also graced the occasions with their speeches. Citizens and RWA office bearers largely attended the function.
