Google unveils Nexus 7 tablet, 'smart' glasses, and Nexus Q

Google has finally come up with its much awaited 7-inch tablet "Nexus 7" based on the latest version of its Android software.
This will be the first brand of tablet owned by the search giant Google and will be made by the Taiwanese company Asus. Nexus 7 will run the new Jelly Bean version of Android.
The 7-inch (17.8cm) Nexus tablet comes with a series of features including quad-core CPU (central processing unit) and a GeForce 12-core GPU (graphics processing unit).
Nexus 7 is powered by a 1.3 Ghz quad core Tegra 3 processor and configured
with 1 GB of RAM. However, the storage capacity will be available in two
varieties, 8 GB and 16 GB. In addition to that, the tablet is installed with a
battery that allows you to play nine hours of video on its 1280x800 pixel
screen, with 300 hours of standby time.
The tablets allow you to use Google Chrome browser as the default programme for
surfing the web. The Nexus 7 costs $199.
Along with the Nexus 7 tablet, Google also released Project Glass as
announced and the Nexus Q.
Project Glass is a wearable Android device that allows you to receive updates
about e-mail, messages, and much more. In addition to that you can also use
Google Hangouts
Google called the Nexus Q"the first social streaming media player. This spherical device is now available at the Google Play Store and works with your Android smartphone and tablet and comes along with Google Play, to stream music and videos to your HDTV, sound system, or speakers. In addition to that, you can also connect with your friends through your Android phone or tablet to put together music and video playlists. The device costs $299 for a 16GB model.
With the launch of Nexus Q, Google plans to target the home entertainment market to take on Apple TV, Boxee, Roku and other devices.
