Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley has accused Central govt. for using Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He accused govt. for misusing the CBI and implicate Rajendra Rathode in the fake shootout case of liquar smuggler Dara Singh in 2006.
Jaitley had visited Jaipur to meet party legislator Rajendra Rathore who is in CBI custody in connection with fake shootout of Dara Singh.
Jaitley said that meeting (Rajendra Rathore) was a sign of standing alongside one's colleague. However he is convinced even before and after meeting him, that this is a case of misuse of power of governmental powers and the CBI, he alleged.
Jaitley said that he was here to just support Rathode and also to understand the ground situation of the matter.
It is noted that the CBI arrested Rajendra Rathore, five-time legislator, on April 5 for his alleged involvement in the allegedly fake shootout in which Dara Singh was killed. After the arresting of Rathode, BJP had been shouting repeatedly that it was done with a political motivated conspiracy.
