Braveheart Nirbhaya's body cremated at a private ceremony in Delhi

Nirbhaya, the 23-year-old victim of Delhi gang rape, who died on Saturday morning following multiple organ failure at Singapore hospital, was cremated at a private ceremony on Sunday morning at Delhi.

"The body arrived this morning and the cremation has been done," a home ministry spokesperson said but refused to reveal further details.

The victim’s body was consecrated after post-mortem and preserved in a special casket before sending to India in a chartered Air India aircraft, which was accompanied by her parents.

Nirbhaya, who was battling for her life for last two weeks after being attacked and raped brutally on a moving bus by sex men in New Delhi two weeks ago, went her initial treatment at Safdarjung Hospital before being flown to a Singapore hospital for treatment when her condition deteriorated.

The incident of gangrape and murder has triggered a emotion of grief and anger across India which has led to massive protests in every part of the nation especially in the capita Delhi, where the incident took place.

It is high time that the culprits of this atrocity is exposed and their photos should be published everywhere. There is no need to hide them anymore
