New Delhi, Dec 21 (ANI): A Delhi court will pronounce its order today on framing of charges against former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) chairman Suresh Kalmadi and 10 others in connection with the corruption case linked to 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games.

Special CBI Judge Talwant Singh had on November 21 slated for Friday the pronouncement of order on charges in the case.

Besides Kalmadi, former CWG OC Secretary General Lalit Bhanot and nine others have been chargesheeted by the CBI for allegedly overpaying a Swiss firm Rs.95 crores for timing and scorekeeping equipment that was used at different venues during the Commonwealth Games

They have been chargesheeted under various provisions of the IPC, including those of criminal conspiracy.

During the arguments on charges, Kalmadi's counsel had earlier argued that the facts given in CBI's charge sheet were contrary to the documents submitted by the agency to the court.

Kalmadi had told the court that he was only doing the work assigned to him as the OC chairman and nothing wrong was done by him in the entire process. (ANI)
