London, Dec 10 (ANI): Shivani Ghai has joined BBC1 soap 'EastEnders' to play a Muslim girl who has arrived in Walford for her arranged marriage.
Ghai, who will play Ayesha Rana, wore a giant fluffy hat and padded coat as she met up with Phaldut Sharma (AJ Ahmed) and Himesh Patel (Tamwar Masood) in London, the Sun reported.
Ayesha will move in with family friend Zainab Masood, played by Nina Wadia, while she prepares for the wedding.
But things get off to a bumpy start when she arrives on screen later this month.
"Ayesha will be out of her comfort zone in Albert Square. She comes from a more sheltered place," a source said. (ANI)
