Delhi has achieved 100% coverage in respect of installation of Set Top Box (STB) thus ensuring smooth transmission to Digital Addressable System (DAS). This has facilitated switch over the existing Analogue Cable Television Network to Digital Addressable System. This was stated by the Chief Secretary P.K. Tripathi.
In Delhi, there are 33.41 lac households with TV penetration of 88%. There are total 22.98 cable TV subscribers whereas in all 23.21 lac cable TV STB have already been installed.
It may be recalled that the Central Govt. took the decision to switch off the existing analogue cable television networks to the Digital Addressable System (DAS). The Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act,1995 has accordingly been amended.
Meanwhile, the Government of Delhi has appointed District Magistrates and all Sub-Divisional Magistrates as authorized officers within their local limits of jurisdiction, for the purposes of section 11,18 and 19 of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act,1995.
Any complaints regarding carrying signal in analogue mode by LCOs/MSOs or any other person, should be made to the concerned area SDM. The Contact Nos. and E-mail Addresses of the SDMs are available at the Divisional Commissioner, Delhi website

Further, Department of Excise, Entt. & Luxury Taxes has set up a Control Room to receive the complaint regarding over charging for providing Set Top Box and any such complaints for implementation of Digital Addressable System (DAS) from the scheduled date i.e. 1st November, 2012. The Control Room will be headed by Assistant Entertainment Tax Officer and the complaint may be made during the office hours 9.30 AM to 6.00 P.M. on the telephone No. 011-23370262. All the complaints received in the Control Room of this Department shall be forwarded to the Dy. Commissioner concerned for taking necessary action in the matter.
