Melbourne, November 17 (ANI): Berenice Marlohe's Skyfall look is part "femme fatale" and part "'50s film noir", says the film's costume designer.

Jany Temime has identified Bond's femme fatales as being defined thus she gave it all to make them look "sensual and womanly."

Marlohe portrays Bond Girl Severine and Jany wanted to show her sex appeal through her clothes.

"She's a sex bomb - sensual and womanly. I went for femme fatale and '50s film noir. I put her in a black L'Wren Scott dress and high but classic Jimmy Choos; then a dark red dress from Donna Karan," she told the British edition of Grazia magazine.

A host of big name actresses have portrayed Bond Girls over the years. Jane Seymour appeared in the 1973 release Live and Let Die and can vividly remember what she had to wear.

"There was a book of costume designs for every scene," she marvelled.

"They made everything; shoes and even underwear that was never seen! Unbelievable expense went into it."

Ursula Andress famously wore a white bikini in 1962's Dr No, where she portrayed Honey Ryder.

The items were discovered on location in Jamaica and Jany thinks the outfit is the perfect example of how vital Bond fashion is, TV3.ie reported.

"I was working in a Paris boutique and had 100 women a day asking for Ursula's bathing suit," she laughed. (ANI)
