SP declares first list of 55 candidates for next Parliamentary Election

Taking initiative for the next Parliamentary election, scheduled to be held in 2014, the ruling party in Uttar Pradesh Friday declared it's first list of 55 candidates in which several existing Member of Parliament (MP) have been repeated.

Messaging to other parties that Samajwadi Party are ready for the next parliamentary election well before the scheduled time and they will dominate it, it has declared the names of its 55. Party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav announced 55 candidates for the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

In the declared list, 16 MPs have repeated and family members of the leaders have shared enough position in the list.

Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav will again fight from Mainpuri while his daughter-in-law and UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav will fight from Kannauj.

Party's general secretary's Ram Gopal Yadav's son Akshay Yadav Akshay Yadav will make his political debut from Ferozabad.

The other prominent candidates, who are included in the list are:

Neeraj Shakehar, son of former prime minister Chandrashekhar, (Ballia), State assembly speaker Mata Prasad Pandey (Domariaganj), Kirti Vardhan Singh (Gonda), KP Yadav (Jaunpur), Revti Raman Singh (Allahabad), Dharmendra Yadav (Badaun), Anand Bhadauria (Dharaura), Brajkishore Singh (Basti), Pakodi Lal Kol (Roberstganj), Anna Shukla (Unnao), Ashok Bajpai (Lucknow), CN Singh (Pratapgarh), Brijbhushan Singh (Kaisarganj), and Kirtivardhan (Gonda).

According to party sources, Samajwadi party is eyeing to win 60 seats out of 80 seats.

The second list of candidates will be declared later when the candidates will finalize, sources added.
