New Delhi, Nov. 3 (ANI): Concerned authorities have stepped up security and made special traffic arrangements ahead of the mega rally called by the ruling Congress Party at the Ramlila Maidan here tomorrow.
Joint Commissioner of Police Traffic, Satyendra Garg, said that full arrangements have been put in place so that the traffic within the city is smooth.
"Traffic Police has made its arrangements and we will try that the arrangement of the rally is such that people coming from outside New Delhi are facilitated and the traffic within the city is also smooth," he said.
The Congress Party, which is at the moment under sharp criticism from the opposition parties and India Against Corruption (IAC) activists, is expected to launch its counter-offensive at tomorrow's rally to be held at the Ramlila Maidan here.
Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi are expected to address the rally tomorrow and highlight the achievements of the UPA Government at the Centre.
The rally is expected to set the agenda for the party's one-day brainstorming session at Surajkund on November 9 in which it plans to discuss current political and economic situation as well as review the implementation of programmes promised in the party manifesto.
This rally is also expected to give a message to party workers down the line, as it will be attended also by district and block presidents from all over the country besides Ministers at the Centre and states, MPs and MLAs and party's central and state office-bearers. (ANI)
