The entire Indraprastha "Millennium" Park was mesmerized on Monday evening with
the rocking performance of Indian Ocean Band at the ongoing Indo-German Urban
Mela in Delhi Indraprastha "Millennium" Park. The audiences went crazy when one
of the most famous and favourite band of India, the Indian Ocean set the stage
into fire with some rocking music and songs in the history of contemporary
Indian music.
The band entertained the crowed at the Urban Mela with their rocking and back-to-back performances that contained a blend of Shlokas, Sufism, environmentalism, mythology and revolution.
"We enjoyed playing for the enthusiastic crowd on the grounds of the Indo-German Urban Mela. The Mela was another chance for us to perform for our music lovers", said Sushmit Sen, guitarist of the band while performing live at the centre stage of the Urban Mela
The band performed some of their most popular numbers like Ruk Jaa Re Bande, Kandisa at the centre stage of the Indo-German Urban Mela that made the crowed bound to groove with the scintillating performances.
The most exciting part of their musical performance was, they performed some of the songs that are still to be recorded such as "Maya" and "Do Rahein". This was a real feast for the crazy cowed.
The captive audience against the backdrop of 16 shimmering pavilions and the illuminated Humayun's tomb was a sight that people in Delhi will cherish for a long time to come.
The Indo-German Urban Mela started on Oct 27 and will be open till Nov 4, 2012 showcasing 16 multi-purpose pavilions called the "gemstones" representing a blend of technology, science, culture and entertainment.
The show is followed by a number of events everyday that includes Interactive games, presentations, workshops, conferences on music, art and education including programmes exclusively for children. In addition to these activities and programmes, there will also be guided tours by the installation artist Markus Heinsdorff.
