The BlackBerry Corporation announced its new SmartPhone, the Blackberry Porsche P9981 in October 2011. At a special event held in Dubai, Blackberry in cooperation with Porsche Design unveiled the SmartPhone. The camera on the phone is of 5 MP with a resolution of 2592 х 1944 pixels. It can zoom without making much difference to the picture quality due to its autofocus feature and LED flash.

BlackBerry Porsche P9981 is based on BlackBerry Bold 9900, however its design is very different from this older version. The body of the phone is made of stainless steel while the back is covered with leather. It has a speed of 14.4Mbps HSDPA and 5.76Mbps HSUPA.
