London, August 4 (ANI): Trance hero Tiesto has been named as the richest figure in dance music in a new survey by Forbes - earning a staggering 14million pounds last year.
The 43-year-old Dutchman - real name Tijs Verwest - amassed a fortune through live shows, sales, merchandise and endorsements, the Sun reported.
Tracks by Tiesto, who often charges 160,000 pounds a set, have received 300million hits on YouTube.
American DJ Skrillex made 9.7million pounds, Swedish House Mafia 9.2million pounds, Steve Aoki of the US earned 7.7million pounds and Canadian Deadmau5 7.4million pounds. (ANI)
