Melbourne, August 1 (ANI): Not only women but men also fake orgasm and they're faking it far more often that you may think.

In a recent survey by AskMen.com and TresSugar.com, 54 per cent of women said they had faked an orgasm and 26 per cent said they faked it every time they had sex.

Surprisingly, 34 per cent of men admitted they had also faked climax at least once. The survey polled 49,000 men and 1000 women, News.com.au reported.

This is a significant increase compared to a similar survey conducted in 2010 by Mens Health, in which only 17 per cent of men admitted faking it.

When a man realises he isn't going to orgasm, faking it may seem a good way to avoid an awkward situation with their partners and hurt their feelings. Afterall, men have a reputation for being able to climax easily, according to the report.

Ask.men also pointed out that a condition known as "delayed ejaculation" - which often prompts men to faking climax - has been linked to rising antidepressant use, workplace and economic stress, the proliferation of pornography and over-masturbation.

This is on top of traditional causes, such as exhaustion and having had a "few too many". (ANI)
