Three Kailash-Manasarovar pilgrims killed in road accident

New Delhi, July 12 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the three lady pilgrims, who lost their lives following an unfortunate road accident at Darchen near Kailash-Manasarovar.

A vehicle carrying a group of Indian nationals was proceeding on a pilgrimage to Kailash-Manasarovar, via Nepal, but met with an accident at Darchen at 5 p.m. yesterday.

Three women died, while two males sustained injuries, and are currently at the Ali People's Hospital.

The Ministry of External Affairs is in close contact with the authorities in China for providing all necessary assistance to the injured and to the next-of-kin of the deceased in this tragic incident.

The Embassy of India, Beijing, is despatching officials to the Tibet Autonomous Region to assist the Indian nationals. (ANI)
