Kolkata, June 15 (IANS) With the Samajwadi Party's support to Pranab Mukherjee's candidature leaving the Trinamool Congress red-faced, party supremo Mamata Banerjee Friday remained firm on her stand of supporting A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as candidate for president and stated that the "game is not over yet".

"Game is not over yet. It is still on. Let's wait and watch. Whatever I have to say I say tomorrow (Saturday)," Banerjee told reporters here.

The United Progressive Alliance Friday named union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee as its presidential candidate and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in an about-turn announced support for his candidature.

The SP chief had on Wednesday, along with Banerjee, virtually rejected the name of Mukherjee, a suggestion made by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

The two leaders instead announced a set of three names, including Kalam. On Thursday, Banerjee said that Mulayam Singh was with her in backing Kalam's candidature, but Friday the SP chief announced his backing for Mukherjee.
