Last Song director wants 'matchmaking' fee from Miley and Liam

Washington, June 10 (ANI): Director and producer Adam Shankman has revealed that he wants to charge finder's fee from the recently engaged Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, as the couple first met on sets of the movie he produced.

The couple, who announced their engagement on Wednesday, were introduced to each other during The Last Song, in 2009.

"I sort of want a finder's fee for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth," the People quoted him as saying.

"I cannot tell you. It made me cry."

Shankman claimed that he saw their relationship blossom when production began for the film that started it all.

"I remember that first day of shooting when they first kissed and Miley walked by my sister [producer Jennifer Gibgot] after they shot the kissing scene," he said.

"She goes, 'This is gonna work.'," he said.

Shankman has revealed that the couple's chemistry is attributed to their shared passion for life - and all those things that make them different.

"I'll tell you what's so great. That thing about opposites attract," he says. "Their fundamental core values are the same, but he's really mellow and she's really hyper. So it really works together," he said.

Although Shankman supports the young couple, there is one thing that worries him.

"It's extraordinary, and I'm so happy," he said.

"I'm scared at how beautiful those children are going to be," he added. (ANI)
