New Delhi/ Mumbai, June 7 (ANI): Commenting on illicit funds stashed away in foreign banks, Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi has said his party has been consistently fighting against black money.
"We have been fighting against black money for a very long time. We have made agreements with several countries, more than 82 countries, including Switzerland," Alvi told media here.
Alvi also attacked the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), saying that it did not do anything to fight against graft and black money during its six year regime.
"NDA has never done during six years of its regime. So if anybody wants to fight against black money, we should support government of India and Congress party," he said.
Alvi also urged people to support the government's fight against bringing black money stashed in foreign banks back.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has criticized the government for not doing enough to get the black money back.
Meanwhile, slamming the government for skyrocketing inflation and corruption, BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said a nationwide protest would take place on June 22 against rampant graft in the country.
"On June 22, the BJP is going to launch 'jail bharo andolan' to protest the hike in petrol prices, high inflationary prices and liaison of the government with - people (mafia) who promote inflation," said Naqvi. (ANI)
