New Delhi, May 31 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Thursday informed that one Pakistani prisoner and 16 Pakistani fishermen were repatriated to Islamabad on completion of their sentences.
Chidambaram, who inaugurated the Central IVFRT (Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration and Tracking) office at New Delhi on May 25, said that this is a major milestone and we believe that we now have the capacity to record every visitor who enters India through any of the international gateways or ICPs.
"An Unique Case File (UCF) will be created for every visitor," he said.
"Integrated on-line visa application system under the Mission Mode Project on IVFRT (Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration and Tracking) was made operational at the Indian missions/embassies at Tokyo and Osaka-Kobe in Japan, Seoul in South Korea, Mombasa in Kenya and Adilya in Bahrain. This facility is now operational at 65 Indian Missions abroad," said the Home Ministry release. (ANI)
