Itanagar, May 17(ANI): An eight-member European Union (EU) ambassadorial delegation met the members of Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) here on Thursday to understand the trade potentials of the state and the challenges confronting them.
Briefing the diplomats, ACCI President Techi Lala enlisted the uniqueness of the state and said that the ACCI, aided by state's investment-friendly Industrial Policy and Public Private Partnership (PPP) Policy has been working as a catalyst to create a conducive atmosphere for the investors.
Later, ACCI chief adviser Pradeep Kumar sought EU's help for technology transfer to produce commercial variety of orchids.
ACCI Vice President Dominic Tadar said the visit would herald a new era of business opportunities, while general secretary Tarh Nachung said that Arunachal is the only India state with the bottom-up development policy, a principle adopted recently by the Planning Commission.
The EU delegation was headed by Joao Cravinho, who represented 27of the 35 nations in attendance. (ANI)
