Dita Von Teese says she won't be 'caught dead' smoking in real life

Washington, Mon, 14 May 2012 ANI

Washington, May 14 (ANI): Dita Von Teese has admitted that even though she uses fake smoking devices when she is doing her stage show, she totally detests smoking cigarette.

The burlesque dancer has revealed that she understands the perils of smoking as it can also kill a person.

"I smoke in two of my shows but I use herbal cigarettes. I would never be caught dead smoking a real cigarette in real life," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

The 39-year-old actress admitted that she does puffs on a fake device as part of her stage show and that the whole look of smoke under the stage lights is very appealing.

"I love the look of smoke coming under the stage lights, it's really cinematic and beautiful and reminds us of a time when people didn't know what smoking could kill you. I like to assume that my fans are intelligent enough to understand that and know not to do it in real life," said the actress.

Talking of the plans to celebrate her 40th birthday, the actress reveals that she has already begun to think about what to do but is nervous about it.

"I've started thinking about it. I don't usually like birthdays because I think it's a little bit embarrassing to celebrate oneself. I always feel a bit funny, 'Hey, let's have a party about me," she added. (ANI)
