Washington, May 5 (ANI): Sandra Bullock will be honoured for her charitable donations to Warren Eason Charter High School, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
The 'Blind Side' star has been selected to be admitted into the 2012 Warren Easton Hall of Fame.
The 47-year-old actress has been involved in charitable projects with the educational establishment since the natural disaster and this year is donating 25,000 dollars in scholarships, Fox8live.com revealed.
The 20th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 18 in Easton's auditorium.
Bullock is well known for her philanthropy. Last year she donated 1 million dollars on behalf of her family to the American Red Cross' Japan relief effort after the country was hit by an earthquake.
"The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family. This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan," Contactmusic quoted the charity as saying in a statement.
She also gave 1 million dollars to Doctors Without Borders in aid of Haiti earthquake victims in 2010. (ANI)
