Shillong, May 3 (IANS) Shillong Lajong host defending champions Salgaocar SC in the 26th round I-League encounter at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex Friday.
Salgaocar SC are on 43 points from 25 matches while Shillong Lajong have 27 points from 25 outings.
The Goans defeated Lajong 2-1 when the former hosted Pradyum Reddy's side in the 13th round.
Salgaocar Coach Karim Benchirifa said, "Lajong are a tricky side. They are very unpredictably and can defeat any team on their day. They also enjoy home advantage."
"They are a good host and have very strong fan base," he added.
The Goans would miss the services of goalkeeper Karanjit Singh and Francis Fernandes due to suspensions while Gilbert Oliveira would be out as he is nursing injury. Chidi Edeh would be back in the squad.
On the other hand, Lajong Coach Pradhyum Reddy said, "We stay aware of the challenge ahead of us. Last few rounds didn't yield us good results. We would go all out in our last match to consolidate our position."
Lajong would miss the services of defender C Lallawmzuala who is sidelined due to injury.
