Jan 04:  Good news for children. Gone are the days when grandmother tells fairy tale to us. Now it's time for hi-tech children. And, the grandmother's importance though not lessens, but her work of ‘storyteller' has been overhaul by the new technology.

The website of popular children's magazine Chandamama has launched an online sharing and learning platform by integrating Mundu IM V4.

With this new feature children not only can read their favourite story, but also instantly refer and share the story with his friends through the Mundu IM link integrated into each story.

Not only entertainment but educational point of view too, the website has launched a useful online sharing for students as it acts like a powerful teaching tool as the teacher and student do not need now to sit in the same geographical location and despite can share content easily.

Besides, other facility that it is providing that users do not need to register with chandamama.com as Mundu IM make available user or buddies lists from all the major IM platforms. The Mundu chat tool allows users to access their buddy lists from different IM locations- Yahoo, AOL, MSN or Google.

It works with AOL, Google, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, and Yahoo accounts. Aside from instant messaging, Mundu lets you send and receive files, and share photos taken with your phone's built-in camera. The program can group contacts and set up conference chats with three or more people, even when those people are all using different instant-messaging services. Mundu also lets you use boldface, italics, emoticons, and many of the other features you're used to with desktop IM clients.

Expanding on the possibilities of the tool, L. Subramanyan, CEO, Chandamama, said, “Imagine a grandparent in India wanting to share a story with a grandchild anywhere in the world. This can happen easily with the IM chat. All they have to do is visit Chandamama, click on the Mundu IM V4 link that is integrated into each story and they can start a chat. We will be coming out with more such initiatives to enhance both the learning experience and pleasure.

So, children get ready to fly in the world of fear, emotion, and terror with all the Chandamama staples comprising stories of Vikram-Betal, Akbar-Birbal, Panchatatra, Jatak tales available at Chandamama.com.
