Mumbai could be next in terror list
The financial capital, Mumbai which unfortunately has become the base of terrorists using it as threatening mail provider regarding bomb blasts anywhere in the country could be the next target on the terror list.
Following the five serial blasts in Delhi that rocked the capital on Saturday evening leaving 25 dead and 90 injured-with the toll likely to rise, intelligence agencies are reportedly expecting that terrorists could now strike Mumbai.

Abdus Subhan Qureshi alias Tauqir Bilal, who is suspected to be mastermind in the serial blasts of Delhi, Ahmedabad and Jaipur this time too, sent a terror mail from Chembur in Mumbai. Earlier just before the Ahmedabad blasts, a threatening email was sent from Mumbai by hacking IP (internet protocol) address of the computer.
The intelligence agencies' raison d'etre that Mumbai could be the next on the terror list as the previous mails sent by Abdus Subhan in which he had expressed rage against Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and his deputy R R Patil for alleged atrocities incurring on Muslims.
Following the apprehensions Mumbai has been placed on high alert. The intelligence sources said the message is not with a view to spread any alarm or create panic but in a bid to be a step ahead of the terrorists. Among other factors the chief reason is the convenient place which the 36-year-old computer savvy and bomb maker, Abdul Subhan has found in Mumbai. Despite massive manhunt for him he has successfully been able to find safe houses there.
The Indian Mujahideen, believed to be a front strike unit of the banned Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) which blood hand has been proved in the terror attacks in Ahmedabad and Jaipur and is also the instrumental in Delhi blasts, could hit the financial capital. The links between the IM and Lashkar-known for its anti-India campaign- are deep and evident, and that reflects in the IM e-mail in which two legendary Lashkar jehadis have been praised.
