Serial blasts shake Capital, 10 dead

Serial blasts rocked the national capital, New Delhi, on Saturday evening when five low intensity explosions struck at different places killing at least 10 and leaving over 80 injured.


As per preliminary report, the blast in busy market place Karol Bagh was due to a CNG cylinder explosion but the others in Greater Kailash, Connaught Place and Gaffar market were reportedly terror strikes.

 


The first blast occurred at Ghaffar Market in the Karol Bagh area at around 6:15 pm (local time) leaving at least 20 injured. It was followed by another two blasts at Greater Kailash-I and one in Connaught Place.


As a result of this blast, the city including all major cities across the country are sounded high alert.
